The Environment

We all share a responsibility in looking after the world we live in. Keeping nature in balance can't be easy with the world's increasing consumer demand. Our timber does not come from destructive deforestation: Rather from trees that have reached the end of their life cycle, been blown over in strong winds, become diseased, or managed responsibly. By using local timber, we can trace its provenance so you know exactly where your funiture came from.
"Forests are vital to life on Earth. They purify the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, prevent erosion, and act as an important buffer against climate change. Forests offer a home to much of the world’s diverse array of plants and animals and provide essential natural resources from timber and food to medicinal plants. Forests also support the lives of local communities and help them to thrive." - WWF
In the workshop we utilise every piece of timber that comes in the door in our process. We use the natural beauty and form of the timber to make stunning furniture. Our saw dust is used as horse bedding and our offcuts are used to heat the workshop during the cold Scottish winters in our biomass heater.
